A Message From Our Family

The Michael-Gene Kids Basketball Foundation was created in honor of Michael-Gene Robert Futch. Michael-Gene was born in Melbourne, Florida, on December 24th, 1990. He was a talented athlete whose passion was the game of basketball. Not only did he love to play, but he also loved to coach younger athletes during his summer vacations. On November 20th, 2010, his life ended in a tragic car accident. Michael-Gene was an organ donor, and through his tragedy, he was able to give life and hope to others. We know how important family was to him and created this foundation to help families in the community to enjoy the sport that he loved.
